Through Lovers Eyes

Alone she stares out to the endless sea,
in the cold embrace of its murky waters.
The sunset’s warm touch caresses her delicate skin,
the light revealing reflections of sorrow in her wake.

Deep as the ocean her thoughts and always in motion,
wild and weary, bitter and sweet resembling the waves.
Like life, the sea can be cruel and what is lost will never return.
But the tide always brings in hope, life and new possibilities.

She seems frozen in thoughts, in time, in this moment for eternity.

Yet nothing escapes the grasp of time and moments can only last forever in mind.
So when the night finally conquers the day and darkness sends shivers down her spine
I put a loving arm around her, and tell her she’ll be fine.
